Accelerated Laboratory Weathering Facilities

Atlas Weathering Services Group (AWSG) operates one of the largest networks of ISO/IEC 17025 accredited accelerated weathering testing laboratories in the world.  With laboratories in the USA, Germany, France and the United Kingdom, AWSG's indoor exposure laboratories offer artificial accelerated weathering tests and a variety of other environmental test programs, all designed to accurately simulate true end-use conditions and meet global weathering standards.  Atlas has several accelerated laboratories around the world including:

Atlas Center of Excellence (Chicago, IL) Accelerated Weathering and Durability Lab

Atlas’ Center of Excellence in Chicago, IL offers accelerated weathering featuring a variety of xenon, carbon arc, fluorescent and metal halide weathering instruments to meet most accelerated test methods from national and international standards organizations such as ISO, ASTM, SAE, GM, Ford, Chrysler, JIS, DIN, and others.  In addition, the lab performs optical property and physical evaluations using the leading measurement instrumentation technology available, providing you with a complete testing program.

AWSG is ISO/IEC 17025 accredited and accredited or approved by Ford, General Motors and Dade County (FL).

Atlas Laboratory in Europe

Atlas operates its largest accelerated weathering and lightfastness testing laboratory in the world in Linsengericht-Altenhasslau (LA), Germany. This lab is ISO 17025 accredited and features a variety of xenon, fluorescent, and metal halide weathering devices, providing laboratory conditions that reproduce the clients' end-use conditions as closely as possible.

Atlas' LA laboratorycan meet most accelerated test methods from corporate, national and international standards organizations such as ISO, ASTM, DIN, EN, SAE, FAKRA, GM, Ford, VW, Renault, Peugeot, Nissan, JIS, JASO, and many others. This lab also offers testing in equipment designed to meet the requirements of full component testing according to DIN 75220 (eg. the testing of vehicle instrument panels).

Atlas' LA laboratory operates seven days a week and is fully equipped for optical property and physical evaluations using the leading measurement instrumentation technology. Managed by skilled staff who provide the highest level of service, this lab utilizes more than 40 different weathering devices.
